I celebrated this year by creating this new design and getting a batch of cards printed. The role that mail plays in my life is huge. For me, postcards are more than a souvenir purchase—for me, postcards sustain friendships old and new, connect me to people across the world, and are an avenue for activism. Seeing this holiday coming up made me consider how much postcards and mail mean to me, and I wanted to do something special to commemorate the occasion.
