Zack Bly grew up in a log cabin in Cedar Grove, North Carolina, and studied Media Production at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. His work has appeared at DC Zinefest, Small Press Expo (Bethesda, Md.), MICExpo (Cambridge, Mass.), Zine Machine (Durham, N.C.), and Creator Con (Silver Spring, Md.). He is a member of the D.C.-based comics collective Square City Comics.

In addition to drawing comics, he has also been a college radio DJ, a community garden organizer, a library worker, a barista trainer, and a comedy improviser. He lives and works in Washington, D.C., with his wife and their cat.
